Mustapha Ong, Why Only TDM Speaking On Gerakan Migration

Mustapha Ong in the middle in turqoish Baju Melayu and white skullcap

Finally Mustapha Ong has emerged to his true self! He has described the ugly side of Dr Mahathir in an article in Malaysia Today. Since the link to MT is not available, the article is found in this blog here.

When one Wanita UMNO recently expressed to me that Dr Maahthir should quiet down and let Abdullah do his work, I pointed to a Town Council labourer in a distance and said "If that man is an UMNO member, he has a right to speak. Why should a former PM not speak to express concern on the decay of his party and country?"

If Mustapha is concerned for the state of UMNO, BN and country, why is he not expressing concern with the recent Gerakan member migration to DAP Government? At least TDM made a statement when everyone failed to see the significant of the migration:

Return to the true national struggle

THE recent decision of a senior Gerakan leader to take a job under the DAP Government of Penang should not be taken lightly by the Barisan Nasional if it wishes to survive and regain support of its members and supporters.

The Gerakan leader may be motivated by a genuine desire to work for the good of Penang and Malaysia. But it may also be because loyalty to the Barisan is now based on personal gains or fear of punishment of some kind.

This is especially so among the leaders. There is no genuine love for the objectives said to be the raison d’etre for the party’s existence. They are all fighting to get a piece of the cake that the party would be able to distribute when it wins elections. They could become Ministers or Mentris Besar or Deputy Ministers or Speakers. They could get contracts or licences, APs etc.

When the party loses, these will not be forthcoming. The reason for supporting the party would disappear.

The rank and file on the other hand stands to gain nothing, win or lose. The party is not any longer for the general good of the country but only for lining the pockets of the leaders. So why should the ordinary members help the leaders to line their pockets?

The party can keep on making promises but the members know that these promises are empty.

Supposing the Opposition are smart enough to provide good Government, to look after the interests of the ordinary people, to lead a Spartan life like not flying in chartered planes when going to Kuala Lumpur or taking excos and divisional heads on jaunts to foreign countries, then those people who voted for the Opposition out of anger against the Barisan in 2008 would transfer their loyalty permanently to the Opposition.

When that happens, the Barisan, Umno and other component parties can forget about recapturing the states lost to the Opposition. Their turncoat members (saboteurs as they are classified by Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi) will remain turncoats and will actively work against the Barisan t the next election. To lose once is bad but to lose a second time in Malaysian election is an unmitigated disaster.

The window of opportunity will close pretty soon. Unless drastic actions are taken now, there would be no time to rehabilitate the Barisan and Umno and indeed all the other Barisan component parties for the next election. When this happens and Barisan is totally defeated, the leaders who mismanaged the Barisan will go down in history as betrayers of the parties that had so successfully defeated the Malayan Union, gained independence for the country and developed it to what it is today.

The leaders still have a choice. Continue supporting a person under whom the Barisan and its component parties were defeated or stop being self-serving and return to the true national struggle. You may gain something for yourself personally today but your children and grandchildren will pay a terrible price. The choice is yours.

DR MAHATHIR MOHAMAD.

I have seen Mustapha Ong in Tun's speaking function and have often wondered why he present himself? In fact, I remembered how arrogant he was to refuse to introduce himself when asking a question in a Q&A session.

Meet Mustapha Ong, the father to Omar Ong, the conniving and proud "Tingkat 4" boys running Ethos Consulting outfit. Ethos provided advise which is wrecking the country with its "wet behind his ear" program. It survive by forcing GLCs and Government outfits to accept its KPI program with some muscling by Khairy.

Omar joined from Najib's office after the infamous accident of a concrete falling on the former Managing Director, Dr Liew. In the Khairy Chornicle, which the author recently died, Omar Ong helped to introduce Anwar to Khairy in their days in IMF - International Malaysian Forum. But Khairy later decided to switch from investing his future with Nurul for Nori. With Khairy in Government, Omar was sent to Najib's to be their spy and later run Ethos.

Strangely, Mustapha Ong is the guy allegedly claim by Anwar's people to have frame Anwar. He allegedly paid off a taxi driver in London to make a statement claiming arranging Anwar with women. I am no sure whats the relevance to Augustine Paul but I do know our embassy and foreign office officials do have to play role of pimps arranging for women. Mustapha had a career with Wisma Putra.

Now, with whom is this father and son for? Anwar or Dr M? Najib or Pak Lah? Or they are merely opportunist hedging for the right horse to ride on?

Not only is the content of his letter a lot of bull crap and reflects him as out of touch with the new democrasy, but please realise that there are people who are aware of who you are.

My final words is wattafuck is wrong with anyone speaking out, stupid!!!???

Media Perdana Masih Kaki Putar

29 April, 2008 16:32 PM

Perlembagaan Umno Benarkan EGM, Kata Ku Li

KUALA LUMPUR, 29 April (Bernama) -- Perlembagaan Umno membenarkan bahagian-bahagian parti mengadakan mesyuarat agung luar biasa (EGM), kata Ketua Umno Bahagian Gua Musang Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah hari ini.

"Perlembagaan parti membenarkannya.

Bukankah sebagai pemimpin ia seharusnya "practise what he preach"!

Abdullah hanya mahu kekal berkuasa.

Mengikut seorang ahli Forum dalam Majlis Persatuan Anak Melayu Johor pada malam Jumaat lepas, ia mahu melakukan peralihan kuasa pada tahun 2010 atas alasan mengurangkan kemiskinan. Siapa yang bakal miskin ni, Pak Lah? Patrick Lim? Kamaluddin?

Inilah demokrasi ala Pak Lah. Ikut suka hatinya. Penuh dengan pembohongan.

EGM UMNO Cheras

Salleh Abas: The Fact To The Matter

The online version of the book May Day for Justice has been long available on the Internet. The mere google of the name Salleh Abas will surface all and only the critical issues on the historic sacking of a judge.

In his effort to resurrect his premeirship, Abdullah has attempted to pull wool over the eyes on the recently exposed shady dealing Bar Council with "an apology but not an apology" dinner.

This will only uncover a larger Pandora Box to involve the royalty as challenges by Matthias Chang for debate and expose on Param, Bar Council and Salleh Abas has yet to be answered.

A letter to Malaysiakini.com by P Suppiah obtained from blogger Tunku will help to put fact to matter. Shaberry Chik promised a more open and freer press, but he may suppress this information if it surface in the public. Zaid Ibrahim would quietly agree.

The letter below:

1988 Crisis: Salleh shot himself in the foot?

The personalities involved in the entire episode are as follows:

* The then Yang Di Pertuan Agong (the King), now the Sultan of Johor
* Tun Salleh Abas, who was then the Lord President
* The prime minister (Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who was then Datuk Seri Dr),
* The then attorney-general, Tan Sri Abu Talib Othman, now Suhakam chief.

The whole episode started with Salleh writing a letter to the King dated March 26, 1988, copies of which were sent to the Malay rulers. On May 27, 1988 the prime minister in the presence of high-ranking government officials informed Salleh that the King wished him to step down (to retire as Lord President) because of the said letter.

Salleh on May 28, 1988 sent a letter of resignation: the next day he withdrew it and subsequently held a press conference. On June 9, 1988 the prime minister made a second representation to the King alleging further misconduct on the part of Salleh based on his undignified use of the press to vent his grievances – such as requesting for a public hearing of the tribunal and asking for persons of high judicial standing to sit on the tribunal.

On June 11, 1988, members of the tribunal were appointed pursuant to the Federal Constitution by the King. On June 14, 1988, Salleh was served with the list of charges against him. On June 17, 1988, Salleh was served with a set of rules to govern the tribunal procedure. On June 21, 1988, on the application of Salleh, a Queen’s Counsel was admitted for the purpose of defending him without any objection from the attorney-general.

Salleh was informed of the tribunal’s hearing on June 29, 1988 and was told he could be represented by his Queen’s Counsel. On June 29, 1988, counsel for Salleh appeared and informed the tribunal that Salleh would not participate in the proceedings. Salleh was making a series of press statements including an interview with the BBC showing unhappiness over the tribunal’s legality.

The tribunal held its proceedings in camera. Salleh was accorded the right to be defended by counsel. His counsel decided not to cross-examine any of the witnesses. The tribunal was made up of the following six persons:

* Acting Lord President, Abdul Hamid Omar (tribunal chairman), who was appointed a High Court judge in September 1968. In 1980, he was appointed a Federal Court judge. On Feb 3, 1984, he was made the Chief Justice of Malaya taking over from Salleh.
* TS Sinnathuray, a Singapore Supreme Court judge (tribunal member).
* Abdul Aziz Mohamed Zain, a former Federal Court judge (tribunal member).
* Mohamed Zahir Ismail, former High Court judge from 1975 to 1982 before assuming his post as a Dewan Rakyat speaker (tribunal member).
* Sri Lankan Chief Justice, KAP Ranasinghe (tribunal member).
* Chief Justice of Borneo, Lee Hun Hoe (tribunal member).

The allegations against Salleh were made known to him in writing (in respect of which the tribunal held its inquiry), and briefly they are:

First allegation: On the occasion of the conferment of the honarary degree of doctor of letters on him by Universiti Malaya on Aug 1, 1987 in his speech he made several statements criticising the government which displayed prejudice and bias against the government: and these statements were incompatible with his position as the Lord President of the Supreme Court.

Second allegation: At the launching of the book Malaysia Law and LawAt the , Justice and the Judiciary: Transnational Trend on Jan 12, 1988 in his speech he made several statements discrediting the government and thereby sought to undermine public confidence in the government’s administration of this country in accordance with the law.

In the same speech he made special reference to the interpretative role of judges and advocated the acceptance of the Islamic legal system not only in the interpretation of the civil law of Malaysia but in its general application.

In particular he advocated thus: "This system consists mostly of the Quran and Hadith (tradition of Prophet Mohammad S.A.W.). The interpretation of these two sources of law is done according to the established and accepted methodology. Volumes of literature have been written as commentaries and exegesis of the Quaranic law the Prophet Mohammad’s Hadith or tradition. In this situation, not only is the judiciary bound by Islamic law as propounded by jurisconsult (muftis, who give legal rulings on particular matters), but as Parliament and the executive too are certainly bound by these rulings."

His attempt to restate the law generally along Islamic legal principles ignores the character of Malaysian society as one which is multi-religious and multi-racial with deep cultural differences. No responsible government can allow the postulation of such views by the head of the judiciary without causing fear and consternation among its non-Muslim population. Furthermore, his statement violates established principles of judicial interpretation widely accepted in the courts in Malaysia and in the Commonwealth.

Third allegation: He adjourned sine die the case of Teoh Eng Huat v Kadhi Pasir Mas, Kelantan and Another (Civil Appeal No 220 of 1986) which involved the issue of a minor’s choice of religion. It was adjourned six times in the Supreme Court – Aug 18, 1986, Aug 25, 1986, Dec 1, 1986, July 30, 1987, July 31, 1987 and Aug 3, 1987. It related to the conversion from Buddhism to the Islamic faith.

Fourth allegation: In his said letter dated March 26, 1988 to the King and the Malay rulers, he stated that it was written on behalf of the judges of this country. This is false as there was no prior consultation with nor approval of all the judges of the country on the content of the letter before he sent it.

Fifth allegation: He, after his suspension as Lord President, made various statements to the media for publication and broadcasting which contained untruths and which were calculated to politicise the issue between the government and himself and to further discredit the government.

The tribunal commenced its hearing on June 29, 1988. Salleh was absent. But his counsel, namely Raja Aziz Addruse, CV Das and Royan were present. The attorney-general presented his arguments to assist the tribunal and set out the facts. In his submission, the AG stated that there was more than ample evidence and justification to recommend Salleh’s removal from office.

In all four witnesses were called and much written material connected with the allegations was made available to the tribunal for its members to rely on. The four witnesses were Sallehudin Mohamed, Sharon Abdul Majid (director-general of Fisheries), Saedon Daud (deputy director of Budget) and Haidar Mohd Noor (chief registrar) who gave evidence with regard to the adjournments of the conversion case mentioned in the third allegation.

The tribunal completed its report on July 7, 1988. In it, it stated that the tribunal was appointed by the King under Article 125(3) and (4) of the Federal Constitution to investigate and submit a report to the King in regard to the representation made by the prime minister that Salleh be removed from office on the grounds of his misbehaviour which show that he is no longer able to discharge his duties and function as Lord President properly and justly.

The tribunal in its report set out the background facts and its findings and recommendations. The tribunal under proof and findings inter alia stated that it endeavoured to follow the well-known principle and applied and followed in such matters and also in regard to the burden of proof and the standard of proof by similar tribunals in other jurisdictions. It dealt with each of the allegations and stated briefly in respect thereof as follows:

Allegations 1 and 2: The tribunal was satisfied on a consideration of the documents containing the speech that had been made by Salleh on the occasion he was conferred the honourary degree of doctor of letters by Universiti Malaya on Aug 1, 1987 and also the speech made by him on Jan 12, 1988 on the occasion of the official launching ceremony of the book Malaysian Law and Law Justice and the Judiciary: Transnational Trends at the Shangri La Hotel Kuala Lumpur that the particulars set out in the said allegations have been established.

Allegation 2 (iv) and 3: In regard to allegation 3 the tribunal was satisfied in the absence of any explanation by Salleh that the adjournment was made upon improper and extraneous consideration when the case related to the conversion of a minor from the religion she professed (Buddhism) to the Islamic faith.

Allegation 2 (iv): The tribunal held:

i) that it was manifestly clear in the absence of an explanation from Salleh who made the speech that he was seeking to advocate in the guise of interpretation, the acceptance of the principles of Islamic law as propounded by the ‘muftis’ and to assert that such rulings bound not only the judiciary but also both the Parliament and the executive of the country

ii) that it must be borne in mind that Islam is the religion of the Federation, the Constitution of Malaysia by Articles 3 and 11 assures and guarantees to all persons complete freedom of religion by vesting in every person "the right to profess and practise his religion" in accordance with the law.

iii) that it must also be borne in mind that Malaysia is a multi-racial and multi-religious country. That being so, the assertion of principles as spelt out in the said speech by Salleh is likely to cause not only uneasiness but also fear and doubt in the minds of those who profess a religion other than Islam and do not subscribe to the tenets and principles advocated by Salleh in his speech.

iv) that it must also be borne in mind that the Constitution is the supreme law of the Federation and any law passed after Merdeka Day which is inconsistent with the Constitution shall be void to the extent of such inconsistency. Therefore, it was ill-advised for Salleh as head of the judiciary to make an authoritative statement that "Islamic laws bind not only the judiciary but Parliament and the executive also".
Allegation 4: The tribunal held that for Salleh to say that the letter to the King (copied to all the Malay rulers) was from "all of us" was an untruth and in the absence of any explanation the tribunal held that Salleh had done so in order to ensure that the said letter could carry greater authority and greater conviction than it would have had it been made only by a section of the judges.

Allegation 5: The tribunal was satisfied that in the absence of any explanation from Salleh that he used the media with the view to politicising the issue of his suspension and to gain public sympathy for himself.

The tribunal touched on the meaning of "misbehaviour": to mean unlawful conduct or immoral conduct such as bribery, corruption, acts done with improper motives relating to the office of a judge and which would affect the due administration of justice or which would shake the confidence of the public in a judge.

The tribunal concluded: "Having regard to the views we have already formed upon the material before us, we are of the opinion, in the absence of an explanation being made by or on behalf of Salleh that he has been guilty of not only "misbehaviour", but also of misconduct which falls within the ambit of "other cause", which renders him unfit to discharge properly the functions of his office, as Lord President, as set out in Article 125(3) of the Constitution."

Under recommendation, the tribunal said: "Salleh has been proved to have behaved himself in such a way as would destroy the public confidence in his impartiality, his honesty his integrity and in his ability to make decisions as a judge and unanimously recommended that he be removed from office, both as a judge and as the Lord President of the Supreme Court, which recommendation was accepted by the King."

It further stated: "We very much regret that the respondent chose not to appear before us, even though every reasonable opportunity was afforded to him by us. We have, as has been made clear in this report, come to the findings which we have arrived at only upon the unchallenged and uncontradicted material placed before us. Needless to say that had we had the benefit of a plausible explanation from the respondent in regard to the several issues which were presented to us for our consideration, our decision may well have been different."

Much later in a reply letter dated March 20, 1989 to the International Commission of Jurist, Hamid stated that though Salleh was the Lord President his judicial experience on the Superior Court bench was comparatively short having been appointed (when he was a solicitor-general) direct to the Federal Court (the predecessor of the present Supreme Court) as recently as 1979. Salleh was never a Judge of the High Court and had no experience whatever of trial court work at that level. On the other hand, he (Hamid) was appointed High Court judge in 1968 (11 years earlier).

What prompted me to write this letter is because the topic of Salleh Abas has cropped up in the papers recently with the de facto law minister holding the view that the government should apologise to Salleh for his being sacked as Lord President.

The present prime minister has also advocated in his speech at the Bar dinner last week (nearly 20 years later) that the government would make "goodwill ex-gratia payment to Tun Salleh". I wonder whether it will be proper to use government’s money for such purpose.

It must be remembered that to this day no one knows what the defence would have been if Salleh had appeared before the tribunal and be subjected to cross-examination. Salleh did not do this as he said he ‘did not recognise’ the tribunal in his interviews. Even if one does not recognise a tribunal, one should appear before it and make the necessary submission and if the submission fails, one should still give evidence (under protest so to speak) setting out the defence.

His version, even if disbelieved by the tribunal, will always be there on the record for everyone to see. In fact the tribunal had stated categorically that if it had the benefit of a plausible explanation from Salleh in regard to the several issues which were presented to it for its consideration its decision may well have been different.

By his refusing to appear and give his version (especially in regard to his advocating the acceptance of the Islamic legal system in the interpretation of the laws as propounded by the ‘muftis’) he in fact had shot himself in the foot. It is no use crying foul when he did not exercise his right to be heard. What would he have done in a similar or other cases presided by him?

To my mind, it is still open to Salleh, for instance among other avenues, to ask for an appointment of another tribunal to review his case (whether there will be any objection to this from any quarters, I do not know) subject however to his agreeing to give evidence as to his defence. The record of the proceedings are still there. Even if this happened he will be running into difficulties because the four witnesses who gave evidence at the tribunal were never cross-examined by his counsel.

The media is now gearing us Salleh Abas as living martyr and there is a systematic villification of Dr Mahathir on the judiciary crisis of 1988. And, to the mediocre-brained Pak Lah's supporters and steadfast activists of former Semangat 46, I ask where is the part on the banning of UMNO?

If truth is what we seek, do we judge based on fact or perception?

EGM UMNO Batu Pahat

Beliau mengingatkan jangan sampai masyarakat menghina UMNO sebagaimana lirik lagu kumpulan Slank Indonesia berjodol "Gossip Jalanan.”

Amacam MKT?

Karpal's Contempt

To the impressionable public, Karpal is seen as the lawyer that fought for the rights of the down trodden and oppressed individuals. However, I was told that mere opening a file at Karpal Singh & Son is a RM10,000 deposit.

Despite hating UMNO to the core, he has no reservation to take up controversial cases involving UMNO members.

How could a lawyer claim to fight for justice when what he is pursuing is to be in the limelight of controversy?

I will never forget in early familiarity with Karpal as MP. He is legendary for raising ruckus in Parliament to get thrown out and suspended. During the suspension period, he has scheduled "high valued" court cases to fill his time. Suspiciously convenient.

This tiger has not lost his stripe. This letter found on RockyBru2's posting, "Karpal the Contemptible?" caught my attention.
By Dr Adam Mahmood Nazrin

When Tun Dr Mahathir described Karpal Singh as a contemptible politician, it has to be given a lot of thoughts because such strong words coming from a statesman is surely not something which came from a frivolous mind intended to trivialise an important issue.

There are several issues which Karpal has raised which occurred during Dr Mahathir’s tenure and they include the sacking of Lord President Tun Salleh Abas and the Internal Security Act (ISA) swoop in 1988 codenamed Ops Lallang.

To my mind, whether Dr Mahathir is wrong in either or both the incidents, they were matters which Karpal should have brought up during the time Dr Mahathir was still in office. After all Karpal, during that Dr Mahathir’s premiership, was at one time or another, a Member of Parliament and was a known critic of the then Barisan Nasional Government.

His criticisms of the BN Government during Dr Mahathir’s era was wide-ranging but more of interest in our attempt to understand why the former Prime Minister should resort to describing Karpal as contemptible and the reason why Karpal is hell-bent in attacking Dr Mahathir despite the latter’s long departure from office.

Karpal as a politician should be contemptible not only to Dr Mahathir but to the rest of the Malaysian society who have some degree of moral belief and sense of fair play.

Karpal has managed to hide his racist and opportunistic political approach by riding on his so-called courage of being vocal and not mincing his words in criticising the BN Government.

A good example is his expose of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for sexual transgressions sometime during the first quarter of 1998 at a DAP convention held in Federal Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

At that time, Ummi Hafilda Ali and Azizan Abu Bakar, the two main witnesses in the Anwar’s sodomy trial, had given their sworn affidavits of Anwar’s sexual misdemeanour.

Karpal had stood before the DAP audience and said to the effect hat he had proof of the Deputy Prime Minister’s sexual misdeeds and challenged the Prime Minister (Dr Mahathir) to take action against his deputy.

It may sound unbelievable but I’m sure some DAP leaders or those who had since left the party would be more than prepared to come forward to verify this.

This revelation was made some five months before accusations of Anwar being a sodomite was made public or taken up by Dr Mahathir himself.

However, when Anwar was finally charged in court for sodomy based on the affidavits of Ummi Hafilda and Azizan, what did Karpal do?

He came forward to offer himself as one of Anwar’s defence lawyer. Of course it can be argued that in any system of justice, a person who is accused of any crime deserves to be defended, if not for his innocence, at least for leniency.

However, in the case of Anwar, the defence attorneys were defending his innocence and as such, Karpal should disqualify himself even if he was requested by Anwar.

This is based on the fact that Karpal was the very person who first made the accusations against Anwar and to a very large degree, was the one who encouraged, directly or otherwise, Ummi Hafilda and Azizan to take the case one step further.

Like it or not, given Karpal’s reputation (being vocal and not mincing his words), would have inspired confidence in Ummi Hafilda and Azizan to take the matter up to Dr Mahathir himself.

What kind of moral values does Karpal hold when he had, on one hand, publicly accused Anwar and then on the other, when the accusation is filed in court, he offers himself to be the defence counsel?

And one wonders why the Bar Council had not taken any steps to discipline Karpal? Is it out of fear (of his reputation) or that he speaks the same language as most members of the Bar.

And one should also wonder why Anwar himself seems to be comfortable with Karpal who had publicly accused him of his sexual misdemeanour but fumes and rant when it came from Dr Mahathir?

It can only then be deduced that Karpal is an unscrupulous lawyer/politician who is opportunistic and would grab anything which could provide him political gain.

Less the public forgets, Karpal when realising the unhappiness of the masses for the accusations of Anwar being a sodomite, ensured that he capitalised on the ground swell.

Gaining much publicity and political ground by being Anwar’s defence counsel, Karpal decided to take one step further. He was again at the forefront in making the accusations of a conspiracy to murder Anwar over the use of arsenic.

No doubt, it was later proven that there was no such thing but for Karpal, he managed to grab the opportunity to be the “hero” of the moment and got the publicity he needed.

His kind of politics is divisive and destructive. It can only be deduced that he resorted to this because he could not stand the leadership of the Malays.

He couldn’t stand Dr Mahathir at the top and neither could he accept Anwar as the successor. How does he remedy it – by pitting them against each other and then befriending the one perceived to be the victim?

Karpal cannot stand the fact that if there is any Malay in the country that would not be intimidated or suffer any sense of inferiority, it would be Dr Mahathir.

And Karpal knows, for as long as Dr Mahathir is respected and popular among the Malays, his agenda of undermining Malay leadership would not be achieved.

Now, he is back to his old tricks – throwing his support behind Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

This sudden affinity for Abdullah has got nothing to do with his concern over whether the nation is better off with Abdullah or otherwise.

Karpal realises that for as long as Abdullah remains as the Prime Minister and Umno president, the Malays would be further disenfranchised and sidelined in a nation where they are the majority.

To him, Dr Mahathir must not be allowed to push for Abdullah’s resignation as this would set back his agenda or maybe even back to square one.

The only way is to turn his attention on Dr Mahathir, encourage Abdullah to unearth issues which are perceived to be Dr Mahathir’s dirt so as to shut up the former Prime Minister.

Otherwise why does he only seemed concerned about Dr Mahathir’s purported past misdeeds when Abdullah’s misadministration and malpractices presently are there for everyone to see.

Karpal seems concern about use of ISA in the 1998 Ops Lallang. It can be argued that there are those who believed that Ops Lallang was a necessity given the political temperature then which was ready to blow.

Ask any Malay who was politically sensitive during that period – they would tell you that they were then ready to jump into the next bus and attend the Malay gathering at the TPCA stadium just to express their anger for the non-Malay continued attacks on the Malay rights and privileges.

The situation was indeed explosive and it can be argued that Ops Lallang was an evil necessity.

However, if Karpal is so concerned about the use of the ISA, there seems to be a deafening silence on his part when Abdullah used the ISA to lock up Sri Lankan businessman BSA Tahir for his links over the export of centrifuge to Libya by Scomi.

While Tahir may pose a danger but the fact that he was directly linked to Abdullah’s son Kamaluddin and his company Scomi made the placing of Tahir under the ISA very suspicious.

In fact, it smacked of Abdullah’s attempt to silence Tahir so as to protect his son. By any moral standards, between Ops Lallang and Tahir’s detention, the latter is immoral, unjust and self-serving.

If Karpal can be so concerned with the plight of a man he had publicly pronounced as a sodomite, is he not concerned with the possible victimisation of Tahir by the Prime Minister.

This, yet again, proves that justice and fair play are not of concern to Karpal.

The demand that Dr Mahathir apologise to Salleh Abas proves very much Karpal’s lack of regards for the justice system he proclaims to champion.

The matter cropped up when newly-appointed de facto Law Minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim decided to put his foot in his mouth by suggesting that the Government apologise to Salleh Abas.

Then it was revealed that Zaid himself had in 1989 supported the setting up of the tribunal and had then, in his capacity as Muslim Lawyers Association president condemned the Bar Council for continuing to question the tribunal.

The whole issue boils down to whether the tribunal had been legally instituted or otherwise.

If it is, as Zaid seemed to be inferring, then the next question is whether the tribunal’s decision was right or wrong.

If it is accepted to be right, the issue of apologising to Salleh Abas does not arise. If its decision is wrong, then the tribunal should apologise to Salleh Abas and not anyone else.

As such, the whole thing must go through a process of several stages if justice were to be achieved. But for Karpal, these stages need not be pursued as justice to him is only when he is the judge, jury and executioner.

But he has not always been an executioner. Karpal was at one time willing to be executed, if his remark “over my dead body” is to be used as a yardstick.

He remarked this when PAS stoked the idea of setting up an Islamic state which brought strong reactions from DAP leaders and secularists.

But none were as strong as Karpal’s who, apart from having proven to be a committed one man anti-Malay army, now wanted to be anti-Islam.

While debates are encouraged and should be tolerated pertaining to the Islamic state issue, was it necessary to come up with such threatening statement as “over my dead body”.

Even though being a rabid anti-Islam may serve Karpal’s political career in his majority non-Malay constituency, his remark hurt many a Malay/Muslim feelings.

But did he care? Of course he didn’t. He only seemed to be remorseful in 1999 when PAS took the leading role in the reformasi movement, when a large segment of the Malays were quite united in opposing the BN Government.

Again Karpal saw the opportunity to work with the Malay/Muslims and he then expressed his regrets for making the “over my dead body” remark. Why the change of heart?

Simply because he knew that to ensure the continued split among the Malays, he must support either one of it and for his political agenda, it was best to support the reformasi even though PAS was very central to it.

Such is Karpal’s nature that, to my mind, contemptible is too gentle a word to describe a person like him.
Known to many old timers in Kedah and Penang, they will never forget the early incident that spark his interest into politics. The words he uttered with much contempt for the traditional sovereign and people of the land then remains. His recent remarks towards the Crown Prince of Kelantan is a fine reminder.

My repulsion for Karpal is not so much of his party affiliation and our differences in ideology.

There are opposition activists that caught my admiration. Dr Syed Husin Ali's dedication to his ideological belief. The intellectual depth of the late Rustam Sani. Lim Kit Siang's energy, enthusiasm and dedication. Nik Aziz's peity and humility. In his heydays, Lee Lam Thye's sense of community. Even Anwar Ibrahim that I wrote much against, I must admit his oratory skill is mesmerising and captivating. I can easily see through it.

For LKS's tag partner, Karpal Singh, I have none. I do not admire a perpetually contemptuous racist and opportunist.

Will the Bar Council dinner burst a bubble?

The Bar Council dinner exposed an attempt by the executive to manipulate the judicial process for political expediancy and divert attention to salvage the political position of the present Prime Minister.

The fired judges were compensated but yet are given public-sympathy-raising compensations. The offenses in the judicial dismissal is not established and yet the PM made an act tantamount to admitance of guilt.

Former justice Azmi Kamaruddin is not satisfied. Yet, Gopal Sri Ram's nephew and Bar Council President, Ambiga can be so happy-happy and positive to even praise Pak Lah's perceived openess. Sure, ask all walking MSM editors in town Whats really brewing and what will it lead to?

This piece by Matthias Chang explains the insidious hands at work behind the Bar Council recent dinner which Pak Lah gave an "apology but not apology" speech. A commentory in my earlier posting provide a glimpe to what is to come ...

Pak Lah: The Joker and the Lady-in-waiting

UMNO better rid of Pak Lah before the financial tipping point in May and June

The Shadow Play

My book, “The Shadow Money-Lenders and the Global Financial Tsunami” has been on sale in books shops since March 2008. Therefore, there is no excuse for Pak Lah and the 4th Floor Boys not to know (if they have their heads between their legs all this while) that the global financial tsunami is going to hit Malaysia anytime soon, specifically in May / June 2008.

In desperation to regain popularity with the rakyat, Pak Lah and his spin doctors are diverting the attention of the rakyat from the more critical issue of our economy and the urgent protective measures that need to be taken, to the restructuring of the ACA and the Judiciary.

They conspired with the “Lady in Waiting” Madam Ambiga (the President of Malaysian Bar Council) and her foreign backers (US and British Officials) and some very frustrated senior lawyers (past Presidents and Secretary of the Bar Council) who delude themselves that they are the powers behind the scene and that they can extricate Pak Lah from this mess .

The joker in the pack is our de facto law Minister, Zaid Ibrahim. Anxious to please his political master, he directed the Lady-in-Waiting to organise a dinner to announce the establishment of the Judicial Appointments Commission and the ex-gratia payment to some judges who made the mistake of defending Tun Salleh.

1988 Revisited

In 1988, I was one of the most vocal voices defending Tun Salleh when a tribunal was established pursuant to the request of the Agong to investigate into the misconduct of Tun Salleh.

When the Malaysian Bar EGM was convened to consider the issue, most senior lawyers were against supporting and or defending Tun Salleh because they were pissed-off with his judgment in the UEM case. I stand to be corrected, and the minutes of the EGM will show that I was the first person to speak in favour of defending Tun Salleh, on the grounds that we were not defending the Tun Salleh, the person, but the office of the Lord President. The rest is history.

I have on record and there are witnesses, that the late Justice Eusoffe Abdoocader thanked me publicly for my vigorous defence of the Judges.

I have since regretted my defence of Tun Salleh, because Tun Salleh has failed to tell the truth as to the reasons why the then Agong wanted him to be sack within 24 hours on receipt of a letter from Tun Salleh.

At the material time, I was not aware of this letter.

And this letter has nothing to do with the complaint (2nd Letter) to the Agong that the Judiciary has been unfairly criticised by the Executive. This letter was not the cause for the demand for Tun Salleh’s removal.

I wonder, whether if the five judges who came out to defend Tun Salleh knew the true facts, they would have acted in the manner in which they did.

If I had known of this “First Letter” I would not have defended Tun Salleh!

I therefore called upon Tun Salleh to openly explain the contents of the First Letter which he wrote to the Agong and the reasons for keeping silent all these years. Additionally, Tun Salleh must disclose whether he had disclosed and explained to his fellow judges about this letter to the Agong and the reaction of the Agong to his insolent letter.

The truth must come out.

Tun Salleh has demanded accountability and transparency. I now demand accountability and transparency from Tun Salleh.

I also demand from Pak Lah, Zaid Ibrahim, the Joker and Ambiga, the Lady-in-Waiting whether they were aware of this letter which Tun Salleh wrote to the Agong.

The Diversion Before The “Erections”!

The conduct of Zaid Ibrahim, the Joker and the Lady-in-Waiting is very odd. Why did they not organised a dinner to “compensate” the Judges in 2003, when Pak Lah became the Prime Minister, if they were of the view that such an event could not have been feasible during Mahathir’s administration?

Why not in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007?

In fact, when the Joker was the President of the Muslim Lawyers Association, he was most strident in criticising the Malaysian Bar for defending Tun Salleh. The Lady-in-Waiting did not play any significant role at the material time.

Why now, after the massive rejection by the voters of the Pak Lah administration and the strident demands of UMNO members that he should step down immediately.
The joker, Zaid Ibrahim was found guilty of “money politics” (this is UMNO political language for corruption) and was not even selected as a candidate to stand for the recent 12th General Elections. To divert attention from the crime of indulging in money politics, he wrote a book and several articles which were published in the main stream press giving the impression that he was a progressive and a reformer!

This can only happen in Malaysia – to have a joker, guilty of “money politics” tasked with the responsibility of reforming the judiciary and to promote integrity!

Right on cue, and just before the elections, the Lady-in-Waiting led a march to protest and demand a Royal Commission to investigate into the “Lingam Tapes”.

A whole month before the elections, the mass media played up the “scandal of the Lingam Tapes” to divert the attention of the electorate from the scandals and corruption of Pak Lah and his family.

The effort was wasted. The anger of the voters against Pak Lah and his corrupt family only intensified and they saw through this sordid attempt to white-wash the crimes of Pak Lah and his family.

Now, when the UMNO grassroots are at fever pitch to demand the ouster of Pak Lah, the Joker and the Lady-in-Waiting are attempting another diversion.

It is therefore time to expose their theatrics.

The Challenge

I therefore challenge the Joker and the Lady-in-Waiting to an Open Public Debate on the following issues:

1. Whether Tun Salleh was rightly dismissed for his misconduct.

2. Whether the just announced reforms of the Judiciary is sincere and effective.

3. Whether the Lady-in-Waiting has lobbied directly or indirectly for judicial appointment.
Once again I invite Raja Petra of Malaysia Today to be the moderator.

The rules are simple:

1. Each party to be allowed to speak for half an hour: no-holds-barred.

2. Each party to cross examine the other party for half an hour: no-holds-barred.

3. Let the Court of Public Opinion decide.
The Joker and the Lady-in-Waiting have 48 hours to response to this challenge.

Why This Challenge

This is the only way to stop the diversionary tactics of Pak Lah’s cronies and lackeys. Once they are exposed, they will never dare repeat such nonsense.

We can then focus on the real issues – the global financial crisis that will devastate our economy. The IMF has already stated that no countries will be spared in this crisis. Go to their website and find it out for yourself.

I am willing to state here and now, that by end May or early June, crude oil price will hit US$150. It could be more. The government is not even ready for this scenario. The crooks are too busy looting the treasury!

I was spot in 2007 in forecasting that crude oil would hit US$100 and this was way before the sub-prime crisis in July 2007.

I was spot on in forecasting that gold would hit US$1,000 an oz. I was spot on, and the only analyst in Malaysia to state categorically that the financial crisis that first exploded in the USA was a global banking crisis – the collapse of the global banking system. This has since been confirmed by the Fed and G-7 Central Banks.

The country needs to focus on this and not the theatrics of Pak Lah and his cronies!

What Pak Lah is trying to do is to arrange his financial affairs - to siphon off billions - before he steps down. This is the ultimate crime and the actions of the Joker and the Lady-in-Waiting are an attempt to divert our attention from this crime.

Don’t let Pak Lah get away with this plunder!

In my Malay posting, Pak Lah Bertembung Dengan Raja-Raja Melayu? on another possible clash of the executive and the judiciary, this comment below caught my attention.

MENGADAP KEBAWAH DULI YANG MAHA MULIA TUANKU SULTAN ISKANDAR IBNI ALMARHUM SULTAN ISMAIL.

AMPUN TUANKU,

PATEK INGIN MERAFAK SEMBAH MAKLUM BAHAWA MEMANDA PERDANA MENTERI MALAYSIA TELAH MELAKUKAN 'CONTEMPT OF COURT' DENGAN MEMBELAKANGI KEPUTUSAN TRIBUNAL DIRAJA YANG TELAH MENESIHATI KEBAWAH DYMM UNTUK MEMECAT TUN SALLEH ABAS.

OLIH ITU PATEK SEKALI LAGI MERAFAK SEMBAH AGAR PERKARA INI DI BAWA DALAM MESYUARAT RAJA2.

AMPUN TUANKU.

If a police report is lodged, will it lead to a contempt of court on the executive?

If so, the Bar Council has burst a bigger bubble that involves the constituitional monarchy and judicial process. The Bar Council's reputation will be permanently ruined! Zaid Ibrahim will be remembered in the Malaysian judicial as a legal pariah, not to mentioned a flip flop of his current boss.

Urghhh! Self glorifying lawyers. What do you expect!?

I'll Give a Ponder, When Them 4th Floor Boys Are Fired!

Our intended meet-up for a specific purpose discussion end up detoured into a one way bad mouthing session lack of objective and civility. The exchange of views works in this manner:

"You speak and rubbish the distance past unsubstantiated, we listen and give it the benefit of the doubt. We reply and raise the pertinent current point, they deny and dismiss totally as heresay."
Any conversation with a wall and moving through sqeezed narrow passage brains will not get anywhere. My god, how do you campaign people with a brash side kick. In an exchange of views, learn to listen and respect the persons intelligence. We don't pluck things from a belimbing tree.

Wake up dude!

Not only you need to prove it, there is such a thing as "statutory of limitation". In case you don't understand, the problem is now, the grave errors are now and the incompetence of extreme preportion is now. The majority of 30 year old voters find no relevance to issues more than 15 years ago. Their concern is about now!

This psywar to attack the past to preserve the present don't work. It seems you've worked the opposition hate of the past but that as objective is really dumb. This giving chance bullshit won't jive to nobody four years later.

Face it!

Pak lah is rejected by the people and UMNO grassroot members now. Handshaking of 15,000 branch office bearers will be of no consequence.

By continuing to have him around, we will not be able to honestly acknowledge the mistakes, does not have the capacity to plan, and he is not capable of leading, acculturing and putting the right organisation to implement change! Can't you see the cabinet lineup?

With 90 percent seats in Parliament, he turned the country from stable to unstable. There is just no way to convince he could deliver with 5 + 1 states lost and a strong opposition presence in Parliament.

The public does not trust him. Those in the know are already convinced he is compromised and is not working for the interest of this nation. He has to resign.

If he needs a lifeline, he didn't show any signs of doing so. Why are the damn fourth floor boys still around?

My buddy Biggum Dogmann wrote a comprehensive piece on the 4th floor boys and is produced below edited:

‘Level Four Boys’: Damaging bane for PM Abdullah?

The ‘Level Four Boys’ have been suspected to be the real and actual ‘decision maker’ of the Government, since the creation of the office in 2003. They are now believed to have an unprecedented overpowering absolute control of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, PM Dato’ Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, in the official capacity as the Chief Executive of the country and leader of the ruling party.

The primary function of this Private Office of the Prime Minister is to assist the Prime Minister in doing his job. It then grew so powerful that it actually undertook a lot of decision making process influences previously provided by agencies like the Economic Planning Unit, Manpower Planning Unit and at times, Cabinet itself. Of course, some of top party decisions are also undertaken by this team.

The ‘Level Four Boys’ is a term first introduced by the Former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad in his dedicated speech to criticize PM Abdullah and his administration in a closed-door event. The event was organized by Malaysia Today at Century Paradise Club, Taman Melawati, Ulu Kelang on 22 June 2006. It was in reference to the ‘inner circle’, comprising of his son, Dato’ Kamaluddin Abdullah, son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin and close personal aides such as Dato’ Ahmad Zaki Zahid, Dato’ Kamal Khalid, Dato’ Dr. Vincent Lim Kian Tick, Dato’ Wan Farid and a few others.

Many speculate the overwhelming ‘influence’ these thirty-something gentlemen possess. With top British university education and grossly lack of experience and exposure (especially macro-management), they are often coyly referred to as, “Budak tak kerin’ idun” (wet behind the ears) by Tun Dr. Mahathir. Somehow, the real far-reaching effects these young men have on the decisions by PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah, is really both strategically and tactically damaging.

It was Dr. Vincent Lim and Zaki Zahid who influenced PM Abdullah on the decision to cancel the “Scenic bridge-replacing the Johor Causeway” in March 2006. Then, these duo, also concocted the blue-print of the mega project South Johor Economic Region (SJER). It has since been renamed twice, as Iskandar Development Region in November 2006, and last week, Iskandar Malaysia. It is deemed that Iskandar Malaysia is a comprehensive development program to benefit Singapore strategically, allowing contraband from nations such as Israel, to be channeled into this region of 240 million Muslims, via Johor Bahru.

Iskandar Malaysia is now being seen as the beginning of the demise of the New Economic Policy as PM Abdullah long time mentor, now made IDRA Advisory Panel Chairman Former Deputy Prime Minister Tun Musa Hitam made the announcement in Johor Bahru March last year.

Zaki has been said to have sat with PM Abdullah at the many Khazanah Holdings Bhd. Special briefings to the Prime Minister. He is said to be the one who asked the many questions transpired after each briefing. Holding such a strategic position and having a very close ear to PM Abdullah, led to the Proton scandal of disposing highly valuable MV Agusta to highly elusive and mysterious Gevi S.p.A for one Euro and Husqavarna (one of the brands under MV Agusta) was then sold off to BMW Motorcycles last year for a whopping Euro 93 million price tag.

The National Automotive Policy, which is the systematical and structured program to see the slow demise of Proton, was actually put in place by Zaki, with the help of his long time buddy Omar Mustapha Ong of Ethos Consulting. The duo were also instrumental in the giga economic development corridor humongous masterplans of Northern Corridor Economic Region, Eastern Corridor Economic Region, Sabah Development Corridor and Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy. The implementation and deliverance of these giga proportion economic development projects is thought by many to be highly doubtful.

Khairy Jamaluddin is said to have brought Air Asia’s boss, Tony Fernandes, to the Seri Perdana Complex for a private briefing with PM Abdullah on the weekend before the Malaysia Airlines Rationalisation Plan was announced. Suspiciously, Malaysia Airlines had to give up its entire domestic route (plus Rural Air Service) except for nineteen to AirAsia. This program saw an immediate redundancy for over 3,500 loyal serving airline professionals. Khairy’s close association with Fernandes was finally revealed when the latter joined ECM Libra as a director and shareholder, after Khairy made the announcement to sell of his stake in the recently obtained a universal stock broking license for the now capitally and resource enlarged firm.

Khairy, who had left the Prime Minister’s Office as the Deputy Chief Secretary in August 2005, was actually brought in to a special briefing on Singapore to the Prime Minister by Foreign Minister Dato’ Seri Syed Hamid Al Bar. The insistance of his stay in the meeting was, “Khairy is an expert on Singapore”. Khairy’s personal affiliation of Singapore is so apparent that since PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah ascended to Premiership, the bi-lateral relationship with Singapore had never been so close. So much so, even Malaysian Government and Khazanah are emulating and adopting ‘The Singapore Way’ of doing things, et al; including their terminology, “Government linked company” (GLC) in exchange to previous used “Government controlled company”.

Conveniently, at the ASEAN Head of Government meeting in November 2005, held at KLCC Convention Centre, Malaysia as the chair and host, led a charge against Myanmar in the pressure for ‘democratization’. This is very much favourable to the West, and was previously, a Singapore’s crusade within ASEAN. Malaysia, as a founding member defied its own policies and breached the fundamental ASEAN principle of “Non-interference in domestic politics” policy. In short, Malaysia saw a shift in foreign policy since Khairy came into the main administration scene.

In December 2005, when asked by The Star, on the proposed merger of ECM Libra and Avenue Capital, which directly involved his son-in-law Khairy Jamaluddin, PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah conveniently answered “I don’t know, I am not involved”. There is a serious breach of several explicit provisions within Securities and Companies Act, as Khairy, obviously, had vested interests in the high-powered but dodgy deal. Protests by the Minority Stockholders Watchdog Group against several issues in the merger were conveniently ignored by the Securities Commission. Until present, the Parliamentary Public Accounts Committee had not resolved the findings to his highly talked about scandal, especially within the capital market practitioners.

Recently, the sixteen-page private letter which Wanita UMNO Head, Dato’ Seri Rafidah Aziz had sent to PM Abullah as a post-election reaction. The letter somehow found its way to Khairy’s mother, Datin Rahmah Abdul Hamid, and the former got a surprising earful from the latter, via telephone.

Dato’ Kamaluddin Abdullah, the biggest shareholder of Scomi Bhd., has the most to gain. His company had a meteoric rise in the Malaysia corporate scene since five years ago. Recently, post 12th General Elections (PRU 12), after Tun Dr. Mahathir and Dato’ Mukhriz demanded PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah to resign immediately, and Tengku Tan Sri Razaleigh Hamzah asked 18,000 UMNO branches to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM), Tun Musa went to meet PM Abdullah at Seri Perdana. As a former ‘leader’ to PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah, Tun Musa was giving his two bits personal advice on current political situation in the private meeting, when suddenly, Kamaluddin stormed in and said to his father “What ever you do, do not agree to an EGM!”. The immediate reaction from Tun Musa was, “Who is the Prime Minister, you or him”, pointing towards Kamaluddin.

Kamaluddin was the organiser of the infamous Seri Perdana Merdeka Soiree, the week Malaysia celebrated its 50th birthday at the Prime Minister’s Official Residence, Seri Perdana. An esteemed flock of high-powered Malaysians were the only admitted guests, plus some from abroad, to enjoy the R & B renditions of George Benson and Al Jarreau. The fact is that, since occupying Seri Perdana, the first family have not been having the average Malaysians as guests. Not even the traditional first day Hari Raya Aidil Fitri Open House, introduced during his predecessors’ time. The only time average rakyat were allowed access into Seri Perdana since five years ago was during Datin Seri Endon Mahmood’s passing in October 2005.

Of course, the issue of media control, is the real propaganda agenda which has been taken to task by the Prime Minister’s Office Media Coordinator Dato’ Kamal Khalid. Nowadays, the mainstream media editors get calls from this office more frequently than ever. Not only what were allowed to be published were discussed, the angle of the news and the photos to be used were instructed and selected. Surprisingly, these spin effort were never really discussed with the Boss. For example, the weeks preceeding to his wedding with Jeanne Abdullah in June 2005, editors were instructed that the rumours cannot be raised during any media conferences with PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah. Conveniently, the sloppy Malaysian leader ‘let the cat out of the bag’, voluntarily.

The most recent incident took place, just before the PRU 12, PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah did something amazingly unprecedented as UMNO President and BN Chairman. In a meeting with UMNO Management Committee, PM ‘Flip-Flop’ Abdullah suddenly took over the prepared BN Manifesto. When asked by Rafidah “Lah, siapa buat BN Manifesto ni? Kita tak pernah tahu pun!“. Coyly, the answer was “Ini Zaki yang buat. He is very good, you know!”.

Time and again, PM Abdullah overtly vehement denied that his son-in-law, Khairy, was ever involved in his decision-making, be it in the Government, or the party. Since the famous TV 3 special interview, conducted by Bernama Chairman Annuar Zaini, no one in the streets actually believed him. Not even the folks in the boondocks, who have never in their lifetime had access to internet. When UMNO Pulau Pinang met up with PM Abdullah on rumours that certain unfavourable characters were to be pitted by BN as candidates in the state, his response was “Nanti saya balik, bincang dengan Khairy“.

Within this week, one of the Press Secretary Wan Esuriyanti was leaving her post. Khairy took to the task to interview Dato’ Ainon Ahmad, a former NST journalist, for the job. PM Abdullah’s trusts for his aides like Kalimullah Hassan, had actually propelled him on a self-destruction mode, prematurely.

The most recent controversial is the ’self-righteous populist’ direction PM is going, with regards to the Judiciary issue. Last night, he announced the reinstatement of gratuities and emoluments, ex-gratia, of the sacked Judges since the highly controversial but lawful ejection of Lord President Tun Mohamed Salleh Abas and four other judges in August 1988. It was almost an admission of guilt and will lead to endless further ramblings. It is still a mystery why PM Abdullah is willing to depart from the normal convention and thread along these ice-thin line which set a new irrevocable precedent, when it actually served no tangible value for the majority of Malaysians, who are actually non-chalant about this whole issue. The fact that Tun Salleh is the father-in-law of his son’s partner in Scomi, Shah Hakim Zain, is not quashing other speculations by skeptics of this odd move.

It is too apparent that the PM Abdullah has been grossly insulated from real information, and an over-reliance to the ‘Level Four Boys’ for the information all way through the decision making process. The decisions made had reached its overbearing level and inviting series of ‘mini rebellions’, within the society and system. An example never before in the 35 year history of illustrious service of Malaysia Airlines, did passengers feel so frustrated with delays and poor service of the once pride of the nation. Of course, the rate of the Police Force efficiency has deteriorated greatly, ever since the “naked-ear-squat-in-lock-up” case, which also saw Malaysia made a totally unneccessary apology to China.

All these, were actually the most important factors why the rakyat decided to vote against BN. Blaming it on UMNO and BN’s fifth columnists was never the right approach, nor convincing enough. This is further topped by the continuous grossly vomit-level arrogance of, “We won big. We have a big mandate from the rakyat. Just eight short of two-third majority”, which will systematically drive the rakyat’s confidence and support away from UMNO and BN.

In short, the once respectable Cabinet Minister for his “pious and clean” outlook, is now being systematically destroyed and it is damagingly irreversible, by a small group of thirty-something, for his grave over reliance and morbid dependence on information and decision making process.
Sorry sir, your three hours are up. You're factually and objectively deficient, just a sore businessman because someone else got it and not you.
